  • Users test their knowledge on financial concepts (e.g., cash flow management, budgeting) and instantly learn through explanations.

Play & Earn

  • The Play & Earn card serves as an entry point for users to take a short quiz and earn rewards by answering a few questions based on financial concepts.

  • The goal is to subtly educate small and medium business owners while keeping the experience engaging and rewarding.

  • Placing the Play & Earn card within the Payments section strategically motivates users to interact with the feature and encourages clicks on the “Claim Now” CTA.

  • The Play & Earn card serves as an entry point for users to take a short quiz and earn rewards by answering a few questions based on financial concepts.

  • The goal is to subtly educate small and medium business owners while keeping the experience engaging and rewarding.

  • On this page, progress indicators show users how close they are to unlocking rewards. Completed and locked quizzes create a clear sense of progress and encourage users to continue.

  • Rewards are connected to real Tide benefits, making the experience feel useful rather than gamified.

  • The quiz uses a heart (lives) system to limit repeated attempts and prevent random guessing. Each attempt consumes one heart.

  • If a user scores low or does not achieve the required points to unlock a reward or the next quiz, they can retake the quiz by tapping “Play Again” and attempt to reach the required score. Each retry consumes another heart, and users are given a total of five hearts (lives).

  • When users have only one heart remaining or run out of hearts, they can either wait for hearts to regenerate over time (one hour per heart) or revive them by completing a simple in-app action, such as enabling bill payment reminders. This keeps the system useful and connected to Tide’s features rather than feeling like pure gamification.

  • This feature encourages users to continue taking quizzes while reducing careless attempts.
